As we do every Monday, we introduce you to this week’s guest on Marketing Made Simple TV. Meet the very nice, pretty and sharp young lady Gini Deitrich. You’ll watch her show on Thursday at noon ET.
Spin Sucks is simple. It’s the “Fight Against Destructive Spin!” Too often when asked what we do for a living, we hear, “Oh. You’re a spin doctor.”
Um. No. That implies we lie for a living and, we don’t know about you, but we’re pretty darn ethical (even ethical to a fault, we’ve heard). So we are out to fight (and change) the negative perception of the PR and marketing industries.
In order to do just that, the team at Arment Dietrich manages the blog to provide expert information and advice on current issues and trends surrounding marketing, communication, social media, entrepreneurship, search engine optimization, and advertising.
We also look at astroturfing, bad PR and marketing practices, and unethical “professionals”, and provide ideas on how to make these case studies better. We attract really smart, really ethical professionals who are joining us in the fight.
Recent accolades include the 2010 Readers Choice Blog of the Year, a Top 42 Content Marketing blog from Junta42, a Top 10 Social Media blog from Social Media Examiner, and a top 50 blog on the AdAge Power 150.
Arment Dietrich founder and CEO, Gini Dietrich, is the lead author and you can find her work every weekday at 8 a.m. CT and on Fridays at noon, as well. You never really know what you’re going to get, but you can bet when she’s upset about something, she’ll rally the lovers and the haters for one common cause (unless it’s about wearing jeans to speak – then there is no rallying).
The blog also is powered by guest posts written by creative thinkers and scrappy entrepreneurs in a wide range of industries. You can find a different guest blogger Monday through Thursday at noon CT.
Guest blog post queries: If you are interested in submitting a post for publication, please contact chief content officer Lisa Gerber with your topic idea, a brief bio and links to your blog or sample posts.
